World Mental Health Day

10
Oct
2022
Yesterday, October 10th, was World Mental Health Day, and being an extremely significant day we could not neglect this topic. Currently, there are several mental illnesses, with Depression being the most common.
It is extremely important that it is common knowledge to recognize the symptoms that characterize it: persistent sadness, loss of general interest, difficulty concentrating, lack of appetite, insomnia, tiredness. There are also more worrying symptoms, such as: feelings of worthlessness, suicidal thoughts, impotence and despair.

Patients with depression are more likely to worsen due to the unconscious intake of alcohol or other psychotropic substances, and may have episodes of severe depression in the future.
A mentally ill person does not need to be afraid to seek help! And as such you should consult your family doctor or a psychiatrist, but unfortunately, it is often easier said than done, if you can't do it alone, you don't need to be afraid to ask for help from a family member or a friend who will help you. will help and direct you to necessary medical help.

There are several possible treatments, such as: the use of medication appropriate to the severity of the disease, psychotherapy and other alternative therapies. And in order to avoid a possible mental illness, we must balance a good relationship between work, family and friends, preserving our mental health, and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits.
